Advent Calendar Craft Night

Had such a fun night with some of my fellow mommy friends. A few of us got together at my house to do an Advent Calendar craft. My close friend Lisa came up with a great idea to use these Santa pant gift bags and then put some black boots on them. The original idea was to hang candy from the boots. But thinking more about it last night I might just decorate the boots with pictures of our boys from past Christmas's. Then fill the inside with candy for the boys to pick from each day till Christmas. Thanks so much to all the ladies who could come, missed Heather and Lisa. Heather's about ready to have a new baby girl and need some rest, Lisa's son was sick, so sending best wishes to you two.

This is another Advent Calendar I did this year too! My mom gave me a bunch (or most) of the supplies to make it. It was pretty fun decorating each circle to co-inside with the day of the month. In each muffin cup there is a mini ornament that the boys will put on a mini tree through Christmas Eve. Thanks Mom, I had fun making this. :)

Heather S. Baby Shower

Such a fun Baby shower for a friend of mine, Heather, she's having baby girl #3. My sis-in-law Ginger and I drove over together and enjoyed some fun games, good food and great conversation. This cake was soooo cute, Heather's mom makes the cakes for a lot of their parties.

A necklace of baby wishes for the new little one.

Time to open gifts.

Grandma's on both sides I think, made her some wonderful blankets.

Opening my gift to her. Congrats Heather and family.

Misc Pic's from Fall

Just some fun pictures of our boys doing silly things!! The other day Gavin and I went to his last soccer practice and it was so cold out that my toes were pretty frozen when we got home. So I remembered a foot massager I had and brought that out to thaw my toes. Of course the boys wanted to try, Gavin enough enjoyed reading his Target Big Toys magazine while he soaked. Hee hee

Making a bed in the living room for Movie watching.

And of course the kitty's wanted in on it.

Gavin had a blast making a Caption America shield and mask the other day. He's all about him since watching the movie with Daddy and his friend Bill. Now that it's out on DVD he's really liking it. Thinking maybe Santa has some CA stuff for him this year?? Hee hee

LEAVES!!! Garrett came home the other day with a assignment from his Preschool teacher!! Go on a leave hunt and bring some cool looking leaves back to school. So we did two bags one for school and one to use at home to make leaf pictures.

I love how excited Gavin still gets over doing little fun projects like this. He's always ready to learn.

Gavin and his picture.

The finished product.

Garrett just wanted to play with the leaves, he decided he wanted to glue them on his picture. This kid is always thinking outside the box.

I told them to say "Leaves". :) Lots of fun.

Garrett's Firestation Fieldtrip

Garrett had his preschool field trip this week to a local Fire station. I was pretty excited that I could ride the bus with him this year. Last year when Gavin was in this class I still had Garrett with me and couldn't ride the bus with Garrett. This year (so far) has been so nice to have this extra time while both boys are in school to volunteer!! Documenting Garrett's 1st Bus ride.

On the Bus, his buddy was Spencer for the trip.

Playing at the park next to the Fire station before we had our tour.

Doing some songs with Mrs. DeCoff, (his teacher) before heading into the Fire station.

Cool firefighters hats.

The living quarters of the fire men.

This was taking in the dark, we were waiting for them to announce our school over the PA system.

Getting to check out the trucks.

The fireman getting all suited up to show the kids not to be scared of him if he were to come in their house.

The way home on the bus. I forgot the smells and sounds of a school bus, brought me back! :)

Halloween @ the Greene's

Another great Halloween celebrated at the Greene's house. We had pizza, enjoyed some fun trick-or-treaters, and had a great time watching the boys trick-or-treat. The two pumpkins Ginger and Austin did, soooo cute!!

Brothers in their orange & black.

Austin and his friend John!!

Mommy and her boys, I got them some glow in the dark sticks for trick-or-treating.

Their costumes, Gavin was a knight and Garrett was Ironman for the 2nd year in a row.

Hitting their 1st few houses.

Family picture, we always seem to take it in the same spot every year.

A Werwolf named Jacob.....ha ha. :)

Candy trading time.

Gavin wearing Austin's scary mask.

Garrett's School Party

Garrett had a fun Halloween party this Monday. I'm volunteering in his class this year and helped out with the party. Lots of fun for the kids, they got to wear their costumes. We had four Ironman's, cute!!
