Greenbluff Octoberfest!!!!

We took our annual trip up to Greenbluff. It was pretty cold, so we bundled up the boys. Travis, Ginger & Austin came too, kind of a tradition now. We checked out Harvest House first. Got some yummy pumpkin donuts and took some fun pictures of the boys being crazy. Headed over to Knapp's Farm for the straw maze and pumpkin shooting. Don't hurt yourself Joe, that looks heavy. Austin's up for the challenge.

What a great pic of all my boys.

It's tradition to get a cute pic of the Harvest House face......of course Gavin refused this year. But we got Garrett up in there.

He's got a donut in one hand and his little guy (that he takes everywhere) in the other hand. What more could you ask for in life.

The boys running around like crazy kids, doesn't help that Uncle Travis rallies them up.

Uncle Travis & Austin showed them how to roll down the hill. Great Fun!!

Some fun animal time, Garrett just loved this guy. He keep calling to him to come back when he left the gate.

Owe, the cute couple, posing for a nice picture.....now only if my nose wasn't so cold.

Some crazy hay throwing fun time at Knapp's Farm! We stayed long enough to watch them shoot two pumpkins out of the canon, Gavin loved that.

Like Father like son, don't they look cute together.

A great picture of my boys, there is a pumpkin behind them, but they pretty much covered it up.

Each of the boys picked out a small pumpkin to take home to decorate.

I've got my pumpkin and my little guy, I'm all set.........says Garrett.

I'm so sleepy, but I still have my pumpkin and my little guy. Cute!!! Love You

Gavin's 4th Birthday Party

My baby boy turned 4 years old. I can't believe how fast time flies, feels like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Joe and I were talking the morning of his Birthday what the weather was like the day we brought him home 4years ago. How long we waited at the hospital to have Gavin released through our pediatrician's office. I was so ready to be home. Now look at my cutie pie, all grown up. He had a really great Transformers Birthday Party, with lots of family and friends.
Some fun masks, that took forever to put together. But worth it just to get this picture.

I found this really cool, really big optimus prime balloon online, he loved it!!

Happy Birthday to Aunt Ginger too. Gavin was born on her Birthday, Oct 9th!

Opening presents with Brother Garrett and cousins.

Gavin got a really awesome Bumblebee costume from Aunt Ginger & Uncle Travis & Cousin Austin. Very excited for Halloween now.

Gavin loved his new Bakugan toy, defiantly one of his favorite presents. Thanks A.

Gavin blowing out his candles way before anyone of us could get through singing the happy birthday song to him.

He really wanted to get the candles blow out so he could take off the optimus prime transformer off.........and of course give it a lick or two.

My sweet little Garrett having some yummy blue frosted cake.

The birthday buddies, Ginger & Gavin. Happy Birthday you too. :)

After everyone left Gavin wanted to try on the Bumblebee costume, so we did a little practice Halloween Trick-or-Treating.

All ready for Halloween, I got him that cute bag at Target for all his candy.

Love you very much my Gavin Bear.

Cowboy's & Birthday's at Preschool

Gavin had cowboy days at his Preschool this last week. A friend from my Mommy group had this really cute cowboy costume that I bought from her (Thanks Thi!). It looks so cute on Gavin, he wore it all day for days after we got it. His birthday landed on a Friday this year, so for Thursday's preschool we got to bring a fun birthday treat. The boys helped me make Halloween cupcakes for his class.

Helping put in the paper cups.

Mixing up the cake batter, and giving me a little cheese smile.

Using the mixer, with mommy close by.

Always fun to lick the beaters afterwards.

The end result after some fun decorating. I found the cute erasers at Target!

Gavin and his cool crown he got at preschool for being the birthday boy.

Playdate

We went to the Valley Mall today at there Drop in and Play area. I dressed the boys in some cute matching shirts, love to get out all the long sleeve shirts when Fall hits. These brothers really do love each other. We had fun playing with some friends from my Mommy & Me group. Garrett is and always has been my difficult child. He seems to go back and forth with his moods. He is very clingy and whinny most of the time that we are away from home. And when we are home he can be, at times, very fussy. Lately he's been waking up at night just screaming at the top of his lungs. I feel like I should try and let him cry it out, but Gavin is in the same room with him and I hate to have Gavin loose sleep too. This parenting thing is very challenging, and the differences and dynamics between the two boys is hard to deal with sometimes. I'm really just trying to take it a day at a time, and hope Garrett will find his comfort zone soon.
Garrett just went to his 2year doctors apt. and is in the 100% for his height. He's almost as tall as Gavin, and they are 22months apart. They are really starting to ware the same size clothes.

Halloween Decorating

The boys and I had so much fun decorating for Halloween today. I really love the Fall season and can't wait to get out the Halloween stuff. With every year Gavin and Garrett become more aware of birthdays and holidays. Gavin was really excited, he kept running around the house waving his hands towards the decorations saying "It's Halloween Time Mommy." And of course this will probably be Garrett's favorite holiday because his nickname is "Pumpkin".....because of his orange hair and all. Funny!
They helped mommy put up all the window stickers, lots of fun for them. Of course they were too low by the time they got done, so I went and put all of them up higher (very OCD of me).

Preschool Artwork

Gavin is really doing great at Preschool. I wanted to share some of the artwork he has brought home. They talked about families this week. So they made a house and he drew four little people to represent our family.

This is a few drawings, a horse and a monkey. I think these look really good for a 3year old.
