Grandpa&Grandma Keeney's Visit

Our little (big) Garrett is turning three this weekend so Grandpa & Grandma came by for a pre-Birthday visit. Grandma always comes through with some fun clothes. Garrett got some Batman pj's and Gavin got a fun rock star t-shirt that lights up. Grandma Keeney brought some of her famous fried rice and I made a vinaigrette pasta salad. We enjoyed lunch together and then headed outside to watch the boys play. After playing outside for a bit Gavin decided he wanted to show Grandpa Keeney how to play the Wii (which is like a whole other language to Grandpa). It was a blast to watch, and I think everyone had a great visit. Thanks for coming over!!!
Gavin taking a look at the rock star t-shirt, the guitar's light up!!

Grandma Keeney, I'm trying to get a good smile out of her.

Grandpa Keeney, looking pretty good. He has lost a little weight since having two different times staying in the hospital this last year. He's doing great now.

My boys and I, I can't believe my baby is going to be three, where does the time go?

Brother's, Gavin is so proud of his little bro.

Joe took this picture.....almost cut my head off?? What's with that?

I just put this one in here, Joe took it of me coming out of the house.

Mother and Son. Joe looks really tall against his Mom, but someday I think this will be me with my boys.

Gavin rides his bike all the time, loves it.
Garrett always drives his truck, he has gotten really good at it.

And last but not least the lesson from Gavin to Grandpa on the Wii. Funny stuff.

Grandpa getting a closer view, trying to figure out how to use the controller. He did pretty good for his first time........

but handed over the controller to Gavin pretty quick.

Riverfront Park

We have been wanting to go downtown for awhile and just never found a good weekend to do it. So we took today to head over to Rocky Rococo's for some yummy pizza, starting to be one of our favorite spots to eat. After lunch we walked over to Riverfront Park and enjoyed a little sunshine.......until the boys had enough and we headed home. Gavin giving me a great smile, waiting for his pizza.
Garrett being silly as usual.

Checking out the ducks.

All my handsome boys.
I think they were saying "burgers" during this picture. Boys will be boys.

Seeing how tall they were for the rides.

We bought tickets for the rides but both boys ended up backing out of going on them.

We did some .25cent rides inside the IMAX just to cool off.

These were the ones they liked best.......too bad we spent money for the other rides?

Garrett was brave enough to go on the train by himself. Gavin wasn't in the greatest mood this trip.
A little too loud for the Garrett. I remember so many years of cousin Austin doing this in pictures too!
Checking out the water feature.

Bad picture, but yep that's me, riding the carousel all by myself. Couldn't waste the money, and the boys didn't want to go on. So I took a few minutes and went back in time, it was fun grabbing the rings and throwing them to my boys sitting on the bench.

Cousin Austin's sleepover

We had a fun sleepover with cousin Austin this week. We had a yummy dinner and watched a movie. The boys read books together before bedtime, how cute. The next day we took a walk/bike ride to the park close to our house. Gavin and Austin rode their bikes while I took the stroller for Garrett, who didn't use it much he just wanted to walk/run after the boys.
All the boys reading their book.
Austin in front with Garrett running in the middle and Gavin bringing up the back.

It's the green dragon.

Lunch time! I packed a lunch for the boys, Garrett wasn't hungry so Austin, Gavin and I enjoyed some sandwiches.

After lunch we decided to walk down to the river bank and throw some rocks of course!!!

Austin just wanted to jump in.......but he only had one set of clothes.

My boys trying to pick just the right rocks.

Austin getting right up to his shorts line.

Gavin fell on his bike so he was holding his shorts up so they wouldn't rub on his owey.
Garrett wanted to join the fun, so he just walked in the water shoes/socks and all, silly kid.

I don't know what it is with boys and playing with rocks, they can do it for hours.

Silly Kitty's

Both our new cats (we got them within the last year or so) seem to really love each other. The calico is a female and the tabby is the male. They just really enjoy one anothers company and we really love to have them in our family. Garfield is the orange and Whiskers is the calico, so cute!!
