Yearly Family Pictures

Every year my wonderful sister-in-law Ginger takes some amazing outdoor pictures. This year we went to a local park (Mirabeau), it was so nice out, almost too nice. It was a little sunny which can be hard to get good pictures. But of course Ginger was up for the challenge and got some really great pictures of our Keeney Family. Please enjoy my wonderful family photos, I really have some great looking boys.

Gavin's 1st Day of Preschool

Today was Gavin's 1st day of preschool, were does the time go. I still remember very clearly the day I brought him home from the hospital, tear, tear!! So we (Joe & I) have been talking about going to preschool for months now, getting him ready mentally. He's got his backpack and is all ready to go. Every time we've talked about going, he has always said "Mommies coming with me, right?" So I was just a little scared this morning (pretty much had a panic attack driving there) that he was not going to stay at school and handle it without me. He is all smiles all through pictures and up to the door. Once we put his backpack away and took some more pictures the other kids and their parents started to arrive. Gavin saw another parent say goodbye & kiss his little girl, and that was it he new I would soon follow. The tears just started flowing, big giant tears. But I held up long enough to high tale it out of there and get in my car. Then I did shed a few tears just thinking about my little baby boy all grown up and hoping he would be ok. Two and a half hours later I picked him up.....was very early (almost 20min early) I know crazy, just wanted to see how he was. He was one of the 1st kids out and saw our car immediately and was all smiles. Saying he had a great time and got to eat cupcakes!! I spoke with his teacher (Teacher Barbara) and she said he stopped crying almost immediately and was a really great kid. He warmed up really well to the other full time teacher (Teacher Grace) yeah!! So all is well, lets just hope he does ok next time. On the way home we got a special treat (milkshakes at McD's) and I said yeah we did it, our 1st day of preschool. Gavin says "yeah preschool, I did it, now I don't have to go again." Oh boy! :)

Once we got home, he was so excited to show me what he made today. A crown that says "school is cool". So cute.

And of course brother had to wear it too, once we put it on he points to the camera, like it's my turn mom. :)

Spokane Interstate Fair

We had such a fun time at the Fair this year. We went on opening day, and it wasn't really that busy. The kids had a great time riding the rides and enjoying some yummy food. We check out some of the animals and got a lot of great pictures. Sorry there are so many pictures, way too many to choose from. Travis, Ginger and Austin came with us, Gavin was always saying "I want to go where Austin's going" so cute. Thanks for a fun night guys. Garrett giving us his homey pose, how cute.

Pig Out in the Park

We headed down to Riverfront Park to the Annual Pig Out in the Park this weekend. The weather was perfect on Saturday. The boys got some yummy ice cream and Joe and I shared some fried rice & a funnel cake (of course, my favorite). I defiantly took the day off of trying to eat healthy, you have to do that once in awhile. We had some great food and then took a long walk over the falls and into downtown's Flour Mill. Travis, Ginger and Austin came down to the Park with us, we all had a really fun time.

Hanging around in Bed

For the first time ever Gavin and Garrett watched a movie in mommy & daddy's room. So much fun, they have their blankies, Garrett's got his binky they are all set. Joe and I actually sat and watch a movie "we" wanted to watch in the living room and the boys were so good the whole time. They grow up fast but it's kind of nice now that they are older they don't have to be stuck to us all the time.
