Bear Lake
We checked out another new lake this weekend. Bear Lake, Joe new about it and looked up the info on it. It's suppose to be a kids lake, you have to have kids to go in or fish there? But when we went seems like those rules aren't really enforced. We got there pretty early and did some fishing, didn't catch anything though, the fish were eating all the great bugs on top of the water instead of our bate. Grandpa and Grandma Keeney came up too, had a nice picnic lunch then watched the boys play. The park has a nice jungle gym and a path around it for walking/running. We saw a lot of people walking their dogs, and a Mother/Daughter taking what looked like senior pictures. Fun to people watch. :)
Southside Aquatics Water park
We had a cousin Austin sleepover last week so we (the boys and I) could check out the Southside Aquatics again. Travis & Austin, Garrett and I all went a few weeks ago but Gavin had never been. It was a bit cold this day but we had a blast!! Austin was so proud of himself that he went down the slide......and then I couldn't get him off of it. I packed a lunch and we ate outside at the Park area where they have a jungle gym. I totally didn't put any sunscreen on myself, thinking that because it was cold and over cast I wouldn't get burnt..........wrong! My shoulders and upper back got the sun pretty bad. Totally worth it though. :)

More Fishing w/ Grandpa
The boys woke up early and headed out fishing with Grandpa Keeney. The went to Silver Lake this time, Grandpa got a new motor for his boat and he wanted to try it out. Gavin loves going fishing with Dad and Grandpa. He took his Spiderman pole this time and caught a nice fish. Joe caught a big bass too!!! Fun was had by all.
Loon Lake w/ Friends
Joe's friend from work invited us to come up to their lake cabin on Loon Lake this weekend. We all had a great time. The boys loved the beach, swimming right off the shore and jumping in from the dock. Joe got a lot of fishing in and of course I did some swimming too!!

Newman Lake Fishing
We tried out Newman Lake for some night fishing the other day. It was really fun, I caught around 6 or 7 fish. Of course they were all pretty small, I got a few bigger ones, but bigger for me is still pretty small. We met a nice Canadian guy who was passing through Spokane on his way to DC. He had three small boys and all the boys played together while we fished. Joe was trying for the bigger fish, using some larger rubber worm bait. It was beautiful on the dock, watching the sun set.
