Gavin's Holiday party @ preschool

Gavin had a fun Holiday party at his preschool on Thurs this week. I'm now volunteering once a week in his class so I just switched my days and helped with his party. We made some yummy hash brown patties and enjoyed some gift exchanging. They just did a simple book exchange and all the kids got to bring home a few new books. It's been great being able to bring Garrett with me, he's really enjoyed being in the classroom with his brother and other kids. I'm hoping this is going to prepare him for preschool next year, hoping to get him in this same class so he will already know the teachers. Gavin giving his teachers their Christmas gifts from us.

Mrs. DeCoff opening her gift, the boys were so excited.

What a great picture of the boys and Gavin's teacher......love how the boys are holding hands.

Ms. Deering opening her card.
Garrett is pointing out who all is in the picture, so cute!
Helping make the hash brown patties.

Each boy getting a chance to stir the eggs.

Garrett being the Teachers helper, picking out the names of the kids to go pick a present from under the tree.
Gavin showing off his book pick from under the tree.

Garrett's turn. It was really nice of the Teacher to have a new book for Garrett too.

This picture is so funny......all the kids are looking at Garrett because when he got his gift he just started ripping and all the kids knew they had to wait until the teacher told them they could open it. The looks on their faces, priceless.

1,2,3.....open your gifts!!!

Happy Holiday Party boys!! Garrett put this hat on me and took our picture.

Chores & other Fun Stuff

We decided it was time for Gavin to do some regular chores around the house. He feeds the kitty's their treats in the morning and is helping out with the dishes at night. He's always done great with putting his dirty clothes in the laundry basket and enjoys vacuuming. Gavin is also earning some allowance now and starting to learn the concept of money. I'll start doing the dinner dishes and Gavin will say "don't do that Mom, that's my job", so cute.
It's fun to scrub with the brushes.

Doing some fun Christmas ornaments that I had left over from last year.

Gavin's current silly smirk of a smile.

We had a fun idea of making a snowman and pinning the nose on the snowman. Trying to keep busy during winter time when it's too cold to go outside and play.

I think he may be cheating??

Ornament Making @ Broadway Ele.

This was our 2nd annual Ornament Making night at my nephew Austin's school. The boys just love going and making some fun ornaments and eating yummy cookies & hot chocolate. Gavin loves seeing Austin and peeking into his school world. We made a few ornaments and then headed to visit Santa. Garrett didn't want anything to do with him but Gavin took a nice picture with him. Then we took a quick peak at the book fair that was going on in the library. Lots of fun things for the boys to look at. I think Gavin is getting more and more excited every day to go to Kindergarten.
Look at my smiley face, mom!!

Helping the boys do some coloring. Mom gets pretty into the crafts too. Hee hee

Austin and his friend Kailey.......sooo cute!

My Gavin giving me such a great smile.

Daddy helping Garrett put paint into the glass ornament. This was fun for both boys, put paint in and shake it!

Gavin showing me his color creation.

Garrett doing the shake shake!!
Silly man, always holds in up in front of his face.

Cookie time.......Garrett was a little preoccupied with watching all the people.

Show me your cookie Gavin!
Reindeer making time, cut them out of foam and glued on eyes and nose and antlers.
Garrett wanted to add a little face too.
This was a little time consuming, Gavin really wanted to do it and by himself. You had to add these little beads to a plastic mold and then you ironed them until they melted to shape a tree or bell or fish. All the kids were really into making cool patterns......I just went with multi-colors to get one made in a small amount of time.

Gavin getting his tree ironed.

A quick painless picture with Santa this year.
