Day of Family Fun

Cabela's had a fun kids program "Summer Games", the boys
got to do bow and BB gun shooting.  As well as some fishing (casting) practice.

 

Gavin's turn with the bow,  he had never shot one before and did
pretty darn good for a first timer.

 

Daddy and Garrett hanging back just watching.

 

It took Gavin about three tries before he launched the arrow far
enough to hit a target.

Gavin did really well at the fishing,  he's been casting with
Dad and Grandpa for awhile now.

Brother's got to hug!!  They won those cut Cabela's hats doing
the Summer Games.

not too hot, not too cold.

For some reason the beach was full of lady bugs,  tons of them
just crawling all over the kiddos.

Such a scary thing to happen,  they announced that everyone in the water
had to get out because a little boy was missing.
These were all the volunteer's searching the waters for him.
He was found,  the mother did not know where he was, and reported it to
the lifeguards.  But I think he was on the beach somewhere?  Anyway at this moment
I was very grateful to have my boys safe and sound with me.

We ended our day at Mary Lou's Ice Cream shop in the Valley.
Homemade ice cream,  some of the best ever!!
