Garrett's 1st Day of Preschool

My little Garrett is growing up so fast. His 1st day of Preschool was Monday. I got him a fun surprise, a new back pack and some legos. He was excited for most of the morning but really started to cry and get upset later on. When I went to leave he broke down crying and of course I felt horrible. I went through this with Gavin too, the first 4days or so Gavin cried, but then he realized that mommy would come pick him up and everything was ok. Garrett's a little more sensitive, he's always been a bit of a mommas boy and seems to be more scared. It's only day two and he was still pretty upset, he cried at home for an half hour or so before we even left. He said "I'm afraid at preschool mommy", broke my heart, then he looks at me with the big tears in his eyes "mommy I don't want to be alone". Wow, this parenting stuff, sending your children off to school is probably the hardest thing I've had to do. But we are doing it, and we are going to get through it. I look at Gavin and see how great he's doing now, he loves school, he's riding the bus home just great. So I know in a few years Garrett will be there too. Gavin even helped calm Garrett down this morning, telling him how much fun preschool is and that everything would be ok. He came in the kitchen when I was doing lunch and said "mommy I'm going to try and make Garrett laugh, would that be a good idea?". I know I've done some things right with my Gavin, he's turning out to be such a great little man and big brother. Garrett will get there too. Close your eyes, surprise time!!

Check out my back pack mom!!

Lego guy!!

His school, Skyview is hosting a few different preschool classes this year.

All smiles now, not for long. But he got through it and seemed great when I picked him up. He said "my preschool is awesome mom".

Giving his "Me" doll to his Teacher, Mrs. DeCoff.

Hanging up his back pack in his Garrett spot.

Gavin's 1st Soccer Game

Gavin had his first soccer game this Saturday. We signed him up under the Valley Soccer League for fall/spring. He's been really excited about playing. We only had one practice before the game, so Gavin was a little shy about going for the ball. Hopefully he'll get more comfortable in the next few games.

Austin and Garrett just chilling.

Gavin's the only kid with sunglasses on.

The Greene gang coming to support.

Waiting for his turn to play.

Getting a chance to kick, think this is the only time in the whole game that he touched the ball. Oh well, 1st game.

Game over!!!

Shaking hands with the other team before leaving.

Hit Value Village to look for a Knight costume for Gavin for Halloween, found one!! Think Garrett's going to be Ironman again.

Boys are so fun!!! :)

I had my adorable niece over for a few hours today!! She had to try on all the boys dress up masks, so cute, took just a few pictures of her. :) Seems like I can't have girls myself so I'll just borrow one of my brothers three girls every once in awhile. Hee hee

Soooo cute. I took a picture of her with this earlier and then she says I need to do this one again so I can hang my tongue out like a dog. Hee hee

Gavin's 1st Soccer Practice

Gavin had his first soccer practice this week. I had to run out and get him a new soccer ball, we had his socks and cleats. He was so excited and got into it even more once we got there. I'm really excited for him to get into something fun and great exercise too. Orange soccer ball of course.

Streching before practice.

Garrett and Daddy hanging out in back kicking the ball together.

He was so tired when we got home, but so hyped up that he wanted to practice some more in the yard, crazy kid.

Spokane Interstate Fair 2011

Our annual trip to the fair with the Greene's was another great time. This really cool doll house was in the craft section had to take some photos of it. I would have loved this when I was a little girl. Every room has so much detail, really cute.

Uncle Travis trying to pick out some new shades......he didn't pick these ones, thank goodness!! hee hee

Our boys trying some on too.

Garrett did great on the rides this year, what a difference a year can make.

The play house, Austin and Gavin did this one. Garrett tried but ended up just staying in the bouncy house at the beginning.

Austin and Gavin up at the top.

Garrett bouncing.

Austin and Gavin on the kids roller coaster, what a great sport Austin was going on rides with Gavin.

Garrett wouldn't do the Carousel at Riverfront but he did great here. Thinking it's the noise factor between outside and inside.

Cousins.......brothers!!! Whatever they are, they sure do love each other.

Austin doing the big Yo-Yo swing ride, way to scary for me.

Trav, Ginger, Austin, Gavin and I did the Ferris Wheel. I'm such a baby, didn't like the heights at all. Kind of sweated that one a bit!! But I did it.

It's over, Yea!!! :) Gavin loved it, no fear that kid.

The Greene's!!

All my handsome boys.

Checking out the animals before we headed home.

Such tan boys with there goggle eyes.......and Garrett's always posing for us. Silly kid.

Mommy and her boys!!!! Love u too Garrett.

Our camera's battery went dead at this point. But we walked through the rides all lit up before we headed home.
