The crayon box that talked

My sis-in-law Ginger sent me this cute preschool activity to do with my boys. There was a cute book and poem that I read the boys. Then we un-wrapped some old crayons and broke them into pieces. We filled up a few cupcake sized pans with the crayons and melted them in the oven. It was a fun way to show the boys that we are all different and that's ok, so many colors makes life fun. Great message for MLK Jr. Day. We had a really fun time doing this, thanks Ginger for the idea. My silly Gavin and his new cheesy smile.

Un-wrapping takes longer then you think. I told Garrett that this is the only time he can brake his crayons.

Hot out of the oven. 275 Degrees for 7-8 minutes.

The finished product, now they can color with these and make all sorts of fun pictures.

Pudding Fingers Fun

I've been wanting to do this with the boys for a while now just never got around to it. Since the snow keeps on coming and Winter seems to be lasting forever this year we did it today. Made some chocolate pudding and let Gavin have at it!! Garrett was napping so he didn't do it today, but maybe tomorrow he can have a turn. Gavin was pretty shy about making a mess at first......

but he figured it out quick how much fun it was to use his hands and lick them too!!

He says his hands were stuck.....but I'm sure if he tries hard enough he could get them out.

Homemade Pizza Night

I tried a new Pampered Chef recipe for Caprese Pizza the other day. They were really good and easy to make. Joe didn't like them as much because there was no meat, oh well! I hope you can read the recipe page.

After Christmas Pj's

I found these cute Christmas winter Pj's for cheap at the Children's Place after Christmas sale. The boys were so excited, they really love them, there so soft......I wish I had a pair. Such great times as brothers, I hope they always stay close.

Daddy always lets them help, me not so much, too much of a control freak and I'm scared they'll get burned or hurt somehow. But I know they need to help out and learn so I'm working on this.

Happy New Year!! 2011

Happy New Year to everyone! We celebrated with my bro Travis and Ginger and Austin. I made up our traditional Rice Krispy treats and T&G brought us some yummy shakes (Egg nog, and Chocolate). Thanks guys! We made up a quick and easy dinner and then watched A-Team before we ended the evening with a Rockin Eve with Dick Clark. Great fun you guys, we'll see ya next year. We all met up at Red Robin in the Valley for a fun dinner together before my brother Walter headed back home to Colorado. Then after, we went over to my other brother's house for some chit chat and dessert. Great visit you guys.........miss you already. The time went by too fast, hope in the future you guys can live closer? Emma and Tiffany getting some girl time.
