Fishing w/ Dad & Grandpa

Gavin and Dad headed out to Grandpa Keeney's this Sunday for some morning/afternoon fishing. They took Joe Sr.'s boat out to West Medical Lake for a few hours, just long enough for both my boys (big and little) to get totally burnt. Grandpa was doing great, caught a bunch of fish to take home to Grandma to fry up!! Gavin was the net boy, grabbing all the fish from Grandpa. The big motor on the boat wasn't working well so the boys had to use the little one which took forever to get back to the shore. Poor guys were pretty wiped out when they got home, but then we headed to the Julyamsh Pow Wow in Post Falls, long day.

Despicable Me

I took the boys this weekend to a outdoor movie at a local park, "Despicable Me". They have a fun craft for the kids to do and of course lots of room to run around. We brought some blankets, popped some popcorn and headed over. We watched the sun go down and then movie time. It's such a cute movie, I don't mind watching it over and over again. It was kind of nice to sit with my boys and look up at the stars too!! Carrying their own drinks.

Riverfront Park Day w/ Friends

My friend Lisa and I have been talking about taking our boys for a bus ride downtown and spending the day at Riverfront Park. What a great day!! I took advantage of a Groupon a while ago for some half off day passes to the park. We headed to the Valley Mall to catch the bus in the morning, but we were on the wrong side of the road and missed our 1st bus. So we waited a little longer (30 min) for the next bus that took us straight downtown. We got to Riverfront around 11:00 and met up with some other friends and Ginger & Austin. The kids did all sorts of rides and I was so glad Gavin was into the rides this year. It also helped that he had some friends to ride with. I did a couple rides but got a little too dizzy to do more. Hee hee. We all took a break from rides to have some lunch and then we took the train through the park to relax a little before more rides. After the train we headed over to the Carousel and then had some ice cream. What a fun day with friends and family, we ended the day with a bus trip back to the mall. Garrett was pretty wiped out, he fell asleep on the bus, silly Garrett. :) Thanks Lisa, Heather, Ginger and kiddos for hanging out with us.

Right about the time we were heading back to the bus, it started to sprinkle, nothing big though. I really nice day weather wise.
